You should try it out by installing it from the attached APK installer file or if you prefer, you can possibly install it via the Google Play Store (not all shared apps are available on the Google Play store).

To install from the attached APK installer file, you might need to enable the 'Unknown sources' setting on your phone which can be found in the Settings - Applications menu. This simply enables you to install apps from non Google Play market like from email messages or other online stores.

You can easily disable the setting again after installation if you're concerned about the security implication of turning it on.
